Pooch Green Steps: Day 7, Passing On the Love.

Little niece Chao Chao and I spent a little time in the the evening planting our wheat berries.

We (or rather, I) didn’t realise the pot was too small for our bowl of wheat berries, and ended up moving them to a much bigger foam box that was already filled up with soil. And she was so totally into covering the berries with more soil!

Isn’t it nice to be able to pass something about love to the next generation? :)

Pooch Green Steps: Day 5 and 6.

OK. Boo me. I missed the green step yesterday and blah! I was just having a don’t-feel-like-posting mood. Maybe I shouldn’t have made it a daily task. *roll eyes*

Anyway. I soaked some organic wheat berries this afternoon, preparing them to be planted tomorrow. If you didn’t know, wheat berries will grow into wheat grass… for the dogs. Yes, both the dogs LOVE wheat grass. Xiao Bi will practically have it like a treat. I haven’t been growing them for some time so today is just the right time. :)

The one on the right is mine, and the tiny one on the left belongs to little niece a.k.a Chao Chao. We’ll be planting them tomorrow so stay tuned! ;)

Finally, A Little While.

Work is crazy. Life is hectic. I finally asked to reduce my workload and I’m glad that it was a good meeting. :) I still need to hang on until next weekend for a major event, and then I should have less tasks to work on. I like the nature of the job, in a way, but I also love my life and my own business with darl. Something to work harder on.

Despite the hot weather, the garden has been awesome – and since obviously I have nothing to show on my craft, I’m going to talk about my garden again. :P

I’ve spread some wheat berries and grown some wheat grass about 3-4 days ago. This thing is amazingly easy to grow!

Sweet basil. Bought this at Cold Storage again about a week ago. Transplanted to a bigger pot and it’s growing like nobody’s business. Cut off a few leaves and made myself a cup of basil tea this evening. Awesome. :)

The new bamboo shooting. I find this fella growing a little slower compared to the previous one. Perhaps it’s because of the hot weather.

And the lavender is finally blooming! It’s so slow, and so little, but oh-well, I was believing that it’s not going to bloom anyway. :)

**********

Xiao Bi went for her spaying operation last Friday. It was kinda sad to see her during the first day, when she was so sleepy, so tired, and her eyes were like sinking into the sockets. She recovered quite well though, and has been running around like her usual self since 2-3 days ago.

Her tummy area had to be shaved for the operation. I’m constantly checking her stitches, just in case this monkey jump too much or bite on it. Most likely we’ll have to bring her back to the vet to take away the stitches this Saturday.
