NottyPooch+ Japan Relief.

If you have subscribed to our Monthly Barkings newsletter, you’d have learned about our new project, NottyPooch+. To keep the long story short, a product line that was initiated as a form of expression for me has turned into representing our intention to put in ongoing effort to raise funds for needing causes and organisations.

All NottyPooch+ items (except for NottyPooch+GEC) are created using the flip side of banners that we find not suitable to be used for the regular NottyPooch products. As the flip side is always white and rather matte, it allows me to paint images on it. The image is then protected with a coat of water-based varnish. The remaining process of cleaning, cutting, and sewing of the product will be the same.

We’ve also decided to make all NottyPooch+ products limited editions. Only a maximum of 20 same items (eg: same painted design on 20 wallets) will be created. If needed, the same painted design will be moved on to another product (eg: journal) to continue the fund raising effort for the selected cause and/or organisation.

So to kickstart the project, we’ve created 20 NottyPooch+ Japan Relief long wallets. With every sale of these wallets, USD$15 will be donated to JEARS (Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support). We will update donation details here once the wallets are sold out, or by the end of each month, whichever happens first.

Give My Brain A Break.

While trying to relax my brain by watching some classic tv series, I started making these. There are always scraps of banners, too pretty but too small to be made into something. And then with our recent work on paper goodies at PoochD, there are always scraps of card stock around – mostly recycled card.

So that workaholic in me decided to whip these up while watching a show or two. A layer of banner scrap on a layer of card stock. I’m so productive!

Now I’m torn in between having these at NottyPooch or PoochD – or maybe just keep them for my own use. :P

Keep Cutting, Baby!

All we’ve been doing these days are cutting, sewing, cutting, sewing, and then photo shooting and listing. It will really help if we can have a HUGE table, say 10 ft by 20 ft, maybe? At least that will do some good to our backs!

The New Long Wallet.

The prototype is all set – tested and amended, and tested again and amended again, and… well, you get the idea.

Now it’s time to make more and work on photo shooting. Yay! :D

Restocking.

Things went a little crazy after we came back from Art for Grabs last weekend. Filling up orders, making and photo shooting new stuffs, replying emails, etc. Luckily we’re almost done with the important ones.

On the side note, Wah will be away tomorrow onwards for about a week. I hope I can cope with all the work and of course, the two messy dogs – they tend to bully me when he is not around!
