More Greens.

Another Green at Workstation.

I transplanted this from home about 1-2 months ago and have been waiting for it to grow big enough so we can have more greens and another prop for photo shooting. It’s still not big enough but I’ve recently moved it to the workstation to be with its other green-mates.

Green Corner.

We sure have plenty of aloe vera!

To make photo shooting easier, and of course to make the workstation more ‘breathable’, we’ve created a little corner of greens with some plants. Mostly aloe vera though, because this thing tends to grow like nobody’s business. Let me know if you want some, I’ll be happy to ‘rehome’ them too. I’m working on transplanting some from my house to the corner, hopefully soon.

Definitely wasn't planning for this, but almost all the wallets this batch are greensssss! And on the side note, I just realised that almost all wallets that we’ve created this round are in greens – different shades of green! Hope this doesn’t make anyone go all green-sick. :P

The First Harvest.

Yesterday we harvested my first batch of vege from the garden. One Pak Choy and one Choy Sum. Were they tasty? Not being a very vege-people myself, I’d say YES THEY WERE TASTY – of course, they are from my garden. LOL!

The Pak Choy.

Choy Sum. It looks like a huge bunch from this photo but neh, it’s just the angle. :P

The okras are starting to grow and the pumpkin plant is about to bloom. I bought another 8 packets of seeds last week (consist of cherry tomatoes, broccoli, parsley, peppermint, and capsicums) and have started sowing a few. Hopefully can success this time too. :)

The Snails.

Over the last few days, I’ve been out in the garden at 10pm+, while taking a break from my work. I wasn’t actually enjoying the night out there but was catching up the culprit in the garden. The culprit who has been eating up my plants – the snails.

I could pick up at least 10-20 of them at one go, in less than 15 minutes, and I consider that as A LOT. They ate my pak choy, and particularly love my basil – it’s now almost botak! *sob sob*

I didn’t kill them though. I actually don’t mind if they were to feed on my plants averagely – you know, like feed on this a bit, and that a bit, so at least my basil won’t be too botak. But they don’t speak human language and obviously I don’t speak snail language either. So I ended up picking them in a buckle and threw them over to the empty land beside my house. See at least they will have a whole field of wild plants to feed on and HOPEFULLY they don’t remember the taste of my basil anymore. :/

News from the Garden.

Life is still busy. I got a little down and depressed today after some hectic work for the past few days, and decided to take a break. I’m very sure that I’ve missed something very important in life. Evil-y I sometimes enjoy that hectic part of life. Yeah, sometimes. :)

Anyway, here are some news from the garden.

The bamboo baby (the first one from right) shot up about a month ago and it’s now almost as tall as the original ones!

And another bamboo baby is ready to see the world too! See that small green thing in the middle? :) Apparently I took the wrong shot. This is NOT the bamboo baby. It’s some unknown plant. >.< But, but, another real bamboo baby is really shooting. :D

Mum passed some waste from the kitchen to grandma’s maid about a week ago, and 2 days after burying, some unknown species of plant/vege came out, again! @.@ You probably can’t see them clearly in the photo but they are there. Although mum swore that she took out all the seeds but mum, what are these? >.<

The pumpkin is now growing like nobody’s business. Only one of the pumpkin plants is growing so big. The rest must have been suffering from lack of nutrients because of it. Mum will be giving away one of them to her friend. The rest, I’ll probably need to take them away – killing them in other words. I’m really not good when it comes to this. I’m a weirdo, I know.

This is the official vege bed. All five of the okras are growing very well. Three of the unknown veges (most likely are Pak Choy and Choy Sum) are also doing good. The maid included two papaya trees there. Ya I know my garden is messy. LOL!

We realised that one of the plants that looks like pumpkin isn’t pumpkin after all. Dad said most likely it’s cucumber. So one evening I decided to move it to another side of the garden but with the heavy rain after that, it was so soaked and wet and looks like it’s almost dying. But then again, check out that piece of healthy leaf. It’s just so green that you know it’s not dying yet. This morning I noticed a few other leaves grew out too. I’m glad that it’s such a strong plant. :)

The lavender, on the other hand, still refuse to bloom after so many weeks. It hasn’t really been growing since the day I brought it back. Not sure why. We’ll see.

Both me and darl are starting to see our direction in life and business after the weekend at Pipit’s Wonderful Market. We have talked several times and are all set to work on it, just waiting for the right time for our own. :)
