Here is an update of our donation to JEARS (Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support) through NottyPooch+. We’ve been seeing NottyPooch+ Japan Relief Long Wallet receiving lots of attention and favourites since the launch, even more than our regular products. But sadly, for some reason, it turns out to be one of the items that attracts attentions but not transactions. Eeek!
Anyhow, we’ve decided to look for other ways to contribute. There is one more NottyPooch+ Japan Relief Long Wallet ready to ship, so if you’re one of the Likers, go grab it before it’s gone. :)

If you have subscribed to our Monthly Barkings newsletter, you’d have learned about our new project, NottyPooch+. To keep the long story short, a product line that was initiated as a form of expression for me has turned into representing our intention to put in ongoing effort to raise funds for needing causes and organisations.
All NottyPooch+ items (except for NottyPooch+GEC) are created using the flip side of banners that we find not suitable to be used for the regular NottyPooch products. As the flip side is always white and rather matte, it allows me to paint images on it. The image is then protected with a coat of water-based varnish. The remaining process of cleaning, cutting, and sewing of the product will be the same.
We’ve also decided to make all NottyPooch+ products limited editions. Only a maximum of 20 same items (eg: same painted design on 20 wallets) will be created. If needed, the same painted design will be moved on to another product (eg: journal) to continue the fund raising effort for the selected cause and/or organisation.
So to kickstart the project, we’ve created 20 NottyPooch+ Japan Relief long wallets. With every sale of these wallets, USD$15 will be donated to JEARS (Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support). We will update donation details here once the wallets are sold out, or by the end of each month, whichever happens first.
After a day and a half of non-stop painting (dude I hate guys when it comes to things like this – they can’t stop working!), including several walls and a door, we’ve finally got the place painted. IN. OUR. FAVOURITE. GREEN. AND. WHITE. Woohoo!
I’m still toying with the idea of either getting some decals for one of the walls or just painting some cool-looking silhouette on it. But that will probably only come in later. Now we’re just waiting for the electricity and then it’s all about drilling and fixing the furniture. And then moving in, of course.
As much as I enjoy the process so far, I have to admit that it’s so tiring that sometimes I can’t feel my hands. LOL. But I’m imagining the moving-in part will be the worst – we’ve got a lot to move and they aren’t light!
P/S: For more photos of the new place and work in progress, check out our Flickr set.
P/P/S: Oh and if you haven’t yet, make sure to subscribe to our Monthly Barkings. March’s issue will be out in less than a week and we might be throwing in some promotion, exclusively for subscribers only. :)
P/P/P/S: And yes, that’s my old pink pyjamas hanging on the ladder. :P
Dear Coco.
Thank you for making my morning so meaningful. I imagine myself to still carry with me the sleepy eyes if it wasn’t because of you. You woke me up in such a great way. I love you.
**********
Our new adopted pup, Coco, is, well, let’s just say that she probably wasn’t a dog. There is for sure one new, creative thing from her every morning. Sometimes you’ll find your plants all bald. Not dead, but bald. Other times you probably find some poop at the back – only that 90% of the poop is made up of small stones. Yeah she eat stones and let them travel through her and come out again. Not only that. Once we found the plastic drain hole cover was gone and she had part of it too. And when she poop, you can even see the plastic. How fun!
This morning was a good one. I woke up feeling lazy and dizzy and when I saw her, there were white spots on her ears. Before I could realise what was that (I actually thought a bird poop on her…), I saw this.

(Note: This was taken after I slightly cleaned the place.)
Yeah. Paint. She somehow climbed up the cabinets keeping the paints and woo-hoo!
And she was still happy as ever, jumping up and down like nothing happened.

(Yes human! What’s that thing in your hand?)

(What? Don’t look at me. I didn’t ask her to do that.)
Sigh. Why can’t I just have a normal dog?!
