Misc.

On the Last Day of Year 2011.

Looking back, it sure feels as if we have done so many, and yet so little in 2011. We’ve accomplished some in our list, abandoned some, and accidentally bumped into others. We’ve learned something new, revised something old, worked out others that we’ve not thought about. And one thing for sure, we’ve met a whole lot of awesome people along the way, and that made our 2011 a really fruitful year to remember.

See you again in 2012! :)

So it’s 2011.

Two days before the new year, we noticed mum’s Tan-Hua (Epiphyllum oxypetallum) was about to bloom. We moved the pot into the house and by 11pm, it started to bloom. Generally, Tan-Hua can take a year to bloom and only blooms over a single night.

Mum said it’s an auspicious sign. So although my 2011 didn’t start really well, I still have high hopes for this brand new year. :)

New Year’s Resolution.

I’ve never really had new year’s resolution. I think I have been kinda random in dealing with life, and making decisions based on my instincts. Well at least everything has been great so far. *touch wood*

Now as we approach the end of 2009, this time, I do have some new year’s resolution in mind. More like some must-do’s. Let’s see.

  1. Walk at least one green step per day, big or small, from 1 Jan 2010 onwards, for a total of 365 days, and record in this blog – with photos if possible.
  2. Read up most, if not all the business and marketing books for small business that I’ve been collecting – yeah ‘collecting’. I never had the time to finish them.
  3. Set up a proper studio + perhaps retail. This is still a long way to go, but we are determined to do it. Things might still change along the road, we shall see…
  4. Spend more time with the dogs and family. I haven’t been able to keep up with the two messy dogs (I wonder why they are still so messy at this age, especially Xiao Bi. All she wants is play and play and play. She doesn’t seem to be growing!) and my family this past year. Haven’t shopped with mum for ages – although both of us don’t shop much either. Hehe.
  5. Spend more time baking. I really love baking (easy ones, I mean). I’d love to bake more often in 2010.
  6. Exercise more. I don’t think I can keep up with this one. LOL! I need to hike more, go to the beach more – arrggghhh I miss going to the beach for clams!

What else? I can’t think of more now. Perhaps the list will go on later, you know, the spontaneous me. :)

Happy New Year everyone! :)

New Year Gift.

On the first day of this new year, my eldest aunt, who came all the way from the U.S to attend my cousin’s wedding, came to my place and brought me this…

Yay! A Coca-cola bear! Notice the small Coca-cola bottle in its hand and the huge Coca-cola bottle at the back? :D

For those of you who didn’t know, I used to have the habit of collecting Coca-cola cans from all over the world. I don’t really buy them but I like to ask my family members or friends who happen to travel to a specific destination to buy me a can of Coke from the country. I haven’t been doing this for a few years – mainly because I have problem storing my cans – but some of them are still buying for me. Like my uncle just recently bought me a mini Coca-cola bottle – with drinks – for me. I love it. :)

My cousin from the U.S also got me Kisses – the chocolate. A HUGE one! But it’s in the fridge now and I’m lazy to take it out for shooting already. :) Apart from that, my aunt also got me a bottle of spaghetti sauce and a box of spaghetti… weird? That’s because when I was at her place many many years back, I LOVE the way she made her spaghetti! She has been making it a point to bring the sauce back for me since then. And seriously, it tastes really super good! :D

After 01 January 2008…

So the holiday season is finally… over. :(

It simply means:

  1. I gotta get back to work.
  2. I gotta settle all those pending work for my little project.
  3. I gotta bring my mind back to my head.
  4. I gotta start exercising back again.
  5. I cannot give excuses to myself anymore. :D

2008. Haih. I can’t help to wonder, how will this year be like?
