Pooch Green Steps: Day 4.

I tried to think back what I’ve done today and for some reason I can’t think of anything relevant that I would wanna share. I’m sure there are a few, but I just don’t know what – a sign that I’m a little exhausted.

And then I remembered something very small that I’ve done early this morning. The first thing that I do every morning is to turn on my iMac. I normally left it on after checking and replying emails, before going to work (if I need to), since Wah will normally be up by then and he’ll use the iMac instead. But this morning, I turned it off just right before I left the house.

Because he was going back to Kelantan for a week. >.<

What I’m sharing today is obviously not something significant. Gotta work harder tomorrow. In the meantime, I was having lunch with a colleague at work who has been having salads for lunches and is determined to do it until Chinese New Year. Way to go Jun Jie! ;)

P/S: We’ve just confirmed another local press. Gotta report more info once available. :)

P/P/S: Jun Jie, I was serious at lunch about posting your photo. But if you are reading this and don’t want your face to go public, let me know and I’ll either put squares on it or take it off. :P

Pooch Green Steps: Day 3.

Just like any other sewing projects, there are always banner scraps scattered around our work space. Most of them are just too small to be sewn into something. I’ve been wondering how can I utilise these scraps – I think I really wonder a lot. So much that my hands and actions are always slower than my mind…

I finally did something to them today. Incorporating some of them into the next project. Quiz of the day: What is the next big day to celebrate? ;)

Pooch Green Steps: Day 2.

Part of my brother’s business involves receiving goods in these foam boxes. As we all know, these boxes aren’t recyclable. But with a little hole-poking at the bottom of these boxes, they turn into handy pots for some, if not most of the plants.

We’ve been having our Italian Parsley in the foam box for months. It was about to die when it was planted in an old regular plastic pot, until I moved it into this foam box one day and it started growing like nobody’s business. I think it loves the green move too! ;)

Pooch Green Steps: Day 1.

So as promised, this will be day one of our daily green steps for year 2010. To start off the year, we did something to the place where the dogs are staying.

During this time of the year, the place where the dogs are staying is pretty hot during the day. The sun is covering the place almost directly, and left only a little spot for them to lay around. Xiao Bi is particularly affected due to her nature as a Golden Retriever. This afternoon, we took out some used laminated-paper-type outdoor banners from a friend and tie them up to cover the place. The place immediately turned cool and cozy! Who needs those plastic curtain blind from the store? ;)

And here are wishes from both the dogs for the new year! :)
