Misc.

Chocolate.

Wah normally takes care of the syrup boiling part of marshmallow-making, but since he’s away for a week, I decided to do it myself. Turned out a little dense – but not too much to affect the yumminess. I purposely got some gourmet 100% pure cocoa powder for these, and they turned out bitter-sweet. I thought little niece wouldn’t like it, but she said this is her favourite of all marshmallows that we’ve made. :)

Marshmallows Craze.

Instagram Photo

We’ve been having some crazy marshmallow-making fest lately. We’ve made the common vanilla marshmallows, and have made lemon too. I love lemon marshmallows better than vanilla ones. But I still have a few flavours to test out.

Can’t wait to have 48 hours a day to spare!

The Truffles’ Quest.

Since my first attempt to make truffles wasn’t really a success, I bought a new batch of ingredients and was all set to make Oreo Truffles last weekend. But I ended up too busy with the whole internet connection thing and could only do half way on Sunday. Just coated them and tasted today. Awesome! :)

If you love Oreo and cream cheese and chocolate, this is the one for you. Recipe wise, there are plenty of versions and you can just google the one that suits you the best. :)

PhotoHunt: Candy.

Personally I’m not much a candy person. There are only a few that I’d occasionally eat or chew, like Mentos Chew and Tic Tac. Besides, I normally choose only lime or apple flavoured – all sour. :D

Having said that, I do remember that a few years back when I started working as a part time crew with this company, I met a friend who introduced me to this. I’m not sure if it’s available in other countries but for me, it’s so addicted (sour) that I couldn’t get my hands off it for almost a year!

It came in many other flavours like orange, strawberry and mango but I particularly like this.

The texture is like the Sugus (sorry I couldn’t get an English link), but instead of a square cube of candy, this is a long flat piece.

If you like sour stuffs like me, try the Magic Chew. I could still buy this at local grocery shops and they are selling at RM2 for a packet of about 20 candies – it’s not even USD1! Cheap sour sensation. Hehe…

Happy Hunting everyone! :D
