Just when I was wondering it has been a while since I read an RSS update from zoe-t and mh, and the rest, I realised, that’s because I AM NOT USING MY iMac, dude! @.@ (The RSS feeds are subscribed on my iMac’s Mail application. Blur-ness.) One of my colleagues, A, is very well-known for her blurry-ness. It’s as if she was born to be this blur. She constantly lost her parking tickets and had to pay for the fine. It’s also a common sight to see her wondering around the parking area because she forgot where she parked her car. She could also leave her laptop in a fast food restaurant after finishing her lunch. Talking about blur in the office is like talking about her. :D Yesterday after a workshop session, I volunteered to bring back her keyboard as she had to work in another shop until night time, and it wouldn’t be safe for her to leave her huge keyboard in her car. Before leaving the office, I double and triple-checked with her that she knew the location of my house. When I noticed that she seemed blur – as usual – I took out a pen and a piece of paper and drew a map for her, while explaining the direction. Whenever I reached a cross junction, she would insist there was a traffic light. I patiently said: No. There is no traffic light here. After a few times, I noticed that she might have thought of it from another route. It’s not convenient for her to go from that route. So I told her: You will only see traffic lights if you go from another route. With this route, there is no traffic light. And here is how these 2 routes join together. She said she understood, and that she will give me a call if she lost her way then. So with all the names of the landmarks properly written and drawn, I passed her the map. At 10:30 p.m, another colleague called me up and said that A is now coming to my place. I believed it was because A’s mobile phone is running out of battery – again. This is very normal for her. She always forget to charge up her mobile phone. I waited until 11:00 p.m. No one came. I tried to reach her on her mobile, and of course, I got the ‘please try later‘ message. 11:15 p.m… Still no one came. 11:35 p.m… Finally she rang. Eh. I couldn’t find your place. And apparently I went to the wrong place. I went to your old house… What else I can say? Or maybe: Miss A. I moved to this new house one year ago, and you knew it… :D |
