Five Years Together.

We celebrated our fifth year together by spending the day at ASTRO’s internal Earth Day Initiative, paying Dr Chan of AnimalCare a visit, having dinner with my uncle and aunt, and then a little shopping at IKEA.

Can you believe it’s been 5 years since we were together? Time does fly – eeek!

4th Year Together.

Monday marked the 4th year me and Wah were together. For the record, he didn’t remember our anniversary. Just about a week ago I gave him chances to guess the date, and he spent the whole night guessing all WRONG.

Oh well. You gotta say it to get what you want. So I had to resolve telling him the date. YES, OUR ANNIVERSARY DATE.

We settled lunch by finishing all leftover rice, broccoli, and bean sprout in the fridge. Now I have to make a note that he is an awesome cook. Even with that funny combination, we had a nice meal. :)

He decided to bring me to Daorae later in the evening. I suggested steamboat buffet as we could eat as much as we want but he thought Daorae would be perfect. The place was nice. The crews were nice. Our only problem was that the BBQ thingy at our place wasn’t working, so the crew had to resolve grilling from another table for us. No big deal except that we missed the fun of looking at it all pzzzttt.

The food was good, and we made a mistake of ordering a plate of beef, a plate of pork, and a plate of chicken. With the pancake thingy on the house, I’m pretty sure we can feed at least another person (or two!) with all these!

Of course, as expected, the bill came like a bomb. But Wah said it’s worth it as we both had a great time.

I’m always grateful that although we don’t earn a fortune, he would always spend his best on me. Happy Anniversary – and I hope I don’t have to remind you next year! ;)

On The First Anniversary.

On our first anniversary on Etsy (17 April 2009), we sold a tee to a wonderful customer from Canada. I honestly have to admit that I haven’t been able to work on promoting our shop for the past 2 weeks, not to mention updating the shop. I have been so tied up at work that for the past 2 weeks, my typical day was: woke up at 8:00am, feed the dog and check the garden until 9:00am, check emails until 9:30am, breakfast until 10:15am, work in front of the computer until 12:30pm, lunch, work again until 3-4pm, check out my niece until 4:30pm, take a nap until 5pm, work again until 5:30pm, watch news on TV until 6pm, work in the garden and bring the dog out until 7:30pm, bake muffins and dinner at the same time until 8:30pm, work again until 11:30pm.

This explains why I couldn’t have time for our Etsy shop, which is, really sad.

I had a whole pack of supplies shipped to me about 3 weeks ago and they are still lying on my table. I have all my thoughts and ideas sketched down in my journal and they are still the same, no development.

So it really made my day when I woke up early in the morning and received notification from Etsy on the transaction. I immediately decided to include a little gift to thank her for reminding me that it’s our first anniversary on Etsy and I should really work harder or figure out a way that will work for me.

If you are reading, Kitt, thank you so much! :)

As Time Goes By…

So guys. As time goes by, how are you treating your girl?

Last weekend was our anniversary. Apparently someone forgot about the whole thing, even though I reminded him days before it. OK la nvm. I’m not so into it also. Actually all I wanted was just a simple ‘Happy Anniversary’.

Anyway.

I was doing some reflections – I always do reflections – and it’s actually quite funny to see how things change as time goes by. Here are a few examples.

Before: He used to drive all the way from his place to pick me up early in the morning and we went to Botanical Garden for a nice morning walk. After sending me home, he would then change and get ready for work.

Now: No matter how many times I beg, I don’t get a morning walk – Xiao Bi is also not getting one for sure. The only time we get to walk is either on Valentine’s or my birthday. OK la better than nothing. Twice a year for a healthy body.

Before: He used to be very happy if I were to organise a hiking trip.

Now: The only response I got was, no response = don’t want la…

Before: He used to enjoy doing things together with me. Just anything. We just like to share experiences.

Now: “Why must two persons do something that can be done by one person?”

Before: We used to talk a lot. Non-stop basically. We share laughters and tears, and we laughed at each other. We gossiped, too.

Now: He looks at his computer most of the time, even on dining table! That’s his mistress I supposed.

Before: He used to hold my hand while driving.

Now: Yeap he is still doing it at times. :)

Before: He knew I always forgot to drink water and he never forgot to remind me to drink more water.

Now: “Did you drink water? Drink more!” :)

Before: He used to turn off the fan whenever I started sneezing. I have a weak respiration system.

Now: Although sometimes I’ll get ‘eh go turn off the fan la if you are cold’, but yeah basically he is still doing it most of the time. :)

Before: He would always make sure I ate enough. He bought me supper – yeah not a healthy thing but I like it.

Now: Yeap I still get an SMS to see if I need any nice food for supper at night. :)

The list can go on and on but I think I should stop here before I get my ass kicked. lol. My relationship is 2 years old and it’s growing into something like this. I shall do another reflection exactly 2 years from now and see how/what it’s growing into.

Guys, make sure you know as time goes by, how you are treating your girl. Girls do reflections, you know. ;)
