Mad Week.

The week started off with plenty of unexpected voluntary work, and before I knew it, it’s already Thursday. We made an appointment with my grandma to learn how to make bak-chang a.k.a Zongzi at her place on Thursday, so off we went. It was fun, and the Zongzi that we made turned out pretty awesome – although technically it was my grandma who prepared the ingredients and all and we only had to wrap and tie it up, but that was the difficult part! :D

I could finally sleep in a little today, and will have to start attacking those pile of work that has been left behind for days. If only we can have 48 hours a day. Hmm…

That Time of The Year Again.

Wah drove to Sunflower Bakery on our way back from the post office. I asked him why. He said, to get you a birthday cake lo.

Yeah it’s my birthday tomorrow. We had an early cake cutting ceremony tonight instead.

One year older, one year wiser. I sure hope so. :)

The Naked Chef.

Maybe I should name him ‘topless chef’. But I like the word ‘naked’. Blame the HOT SUNDAY! :P

Bacon with spring onion Chinese leek. I SWEAR I never knew this was so nice!

Chicken with ginger and Shaoxing wine. Did a little mistake and it wasn’t as juicy as it’s supposed to be, but still good.

Baked salmon. All-time favourite. :)

All these made a boring Sunday wonderful. :)

Oh Food!

Went into a food hunting mode when sister-in-law passed us some coupons to a Charity Food and Fun Fair nearby yesterday.

All FOOD GOOD. :)

This Hot Sunday Afternoon.

I finally pulled myself together and made some of these. Honey-lemon icicle-ice cream – or whatever you call it. Chilling in the freezer now. I hope they turn out well – it’s pretty much an idiot-proof treat so I *don’t think* I’ll screw up…
