When we adopted Coco back in June 2009, we wanted to have a companion for Xiao Bi so she wouldn’t be so bored and start messing up the place – yes I’ll admit, that was our primary intention. After having Gobi (Xiao Bi’s sister) and Xiao Bi, I didn’t want to buy another dog and decided that there were so many strays out there waiting to be adopted and I’ll have one of them. The right one. So we met Coco.

She was so small when she first joined us. My family always made fun of her almost-entirely-black appearance – even her tongue has some black spots!

Though she was small, she still wrestled with Xiao Bi. And Xiao Bi being the big sister was surprisingly very gentle with her new mate – in fact she has NEVER been that gentle to me before!

In no time, Coco has grown into a piece of black wind (if there is such a thing) full of energy, running around the house digging and chewing on things like nobody’s business. And that’s when we realised OMG WE’VE GOT OURSELVES ANOTHER XIAO BI!

Anyway, HAPPY 1 YEAR OLD, Coco! I hope now that you’ve finally celebrated your first birthday, you’ll learn not to crawl into the neighbour’s yard, not to play with anything handy or not handy including paints, not to eat everything you see including the toys, not to eat your own poop – and PLEASE STOP POOPING ON YOUR OWN BLANKET!
We love you!

yeeeee, coco and xiao bi are so cute..
Oh my goodness, here’s another reason for me to go back to Penang! (yes, owner, I will spare you some attention as well…) :p
Happy birthday Coco! Be nice to your master and mistress about the pooping bit.
Jainabee: Aww thank you. :)
Michelle: LOL! You’re from Penang? (Did I miss or forgot something?!)
wah…1 yr old dee? time flies man!
pooping on ur own blanket! muahahaha
shu-yin: Yes la I know, that’s what my messy dog does best. LOL!
It’s my hometown – both my parents are Penangites, and my grandparents plus some relatives still live there. But ever since the kids came along we haven’t made regular trips north, although we really should…
Michelle: Wow I didn’t know we were ‘state-mates’! Ha!
Hehe! Maybe that’s part of the reason why we click. I miss lorong selamat!
Haha! Could be! You know, for some reason, I seldom visit Lorong Selamat. Not sure why.
Maybe it’s considered to be one of the more ‘touristy’ backlanes? There’s also one ipoh hor fun stall my family frequents but I can’t remember its location. Gah.
