I used to bake for the dogs back then but I have to admit that with so many things in my to-do list, this is just not the priority now.
A few months ago I met a wonderful Etsian in the forum, who was very kind and shared with me one of her dog treat recipes. I’ve been wanting to try my hands on it since then! And finally when I had most, if not all of the ingredients ready yesterday, I decided that it’s about time for me to bake for the dogs again.
The recipe called for some chicken broth. I didn’t have any but I did have a piece of chicken breast, carrots, and Italian Parsley. So I made some in the morning.
After all the mixing and stuff, for some reason the dough was too soft / sticky, and when it was my favourite part of cutting them up with my new cookie cutter, IT JUST WON’T CUT because it was too sticky! So as you can see, I had to bake them in one whole sheet…

About 30-40 minutes later, I think it was almost done, so I took it out and I DON’T CARE I HAVE TO USE MY COOKIE CUTTER. So I cut them into shapes, put more egg wash, and bake for another 10-15 minutes. Lovely! :)
And what did I do with the chicken breast in the broth? I made yummy chicken salad for the family at night. I swear it tasted as good as it looked.
This morning I thought I’d take a photo of how the dogs sat and waited for their new treat but gosh it was like a circus, or carnival, or some sort. Coco ran towards the table where I put the treats and snatched one without my permission, and ran ALL OVER the yard to get away from me. When I finally got her after like 5 or 10 minutes of running, I can’t believe that she was still having the treat in her mouth – not chewing on it yet!
Crappy little black dog.

I am so glad your pooches liked the treats, even if the recipe didn’t quite work out the way you planned. ;) And that salad looks delicious!!!!
Aww thank you. :) The next time I make it, I’ll refine it.
[...] The new dog treat is a big hit at home. They never have enough of it. You can typically ask them to do anything you want when you have the treats in your hand. [...]
