I Had These for Two Continuous Nights!

Today I’m going to share about some really good domestic experiences.

Almost eight out of ten times when we had to eat out or order take away for dinner, we (or I?) opt to get our food at this hawker centre in Tanjung Tokong, Penang, just right beside Penang Chinese Swimming Club. And almost 9.9 out of ten times when we were there, I had my favourite Tomyam noodles.

This week, for two continuous night, I had the exact same dishes. I’m starting to remember the girl who lived in Singapore for a few months and had Singapore fruit rojak for FOUR continuous days – yes that’s me, and I did fall sick after that.

The first dish is, of course, my favourite Tomyam noodles. Sour, spicy with lots of big prawns and chicken (I ordered without fish).

This is the stall selling the heavenly dish. That’s the stall owner on the right. I heard that her wife, the chef, is from Thailand.

And lately I’ve been quite into fried oyster, a typical hawker dish in Penang. The stall selling fried oyster in this hawker centre wasn’t really impressive, but about 1-2 months ago, I *think* they’ve either changed the owner or done something with the existing chef, and I’m loving this mouth-watering dish from them!

This is the stall selling my favourite fried oyster.

So if anyone of you happen to visit Penang (or if you are in Penang but have never been to this hawker centre), this is how it looks like. It’s just right along the main road of Tanjung Tokong so you are not likely to miss it. The name? Restoran Tanjung Tiga Dua Lapan a.k.a Restaurant Tanjung Three-Two-Eight. Teehee.
