Project Wonderful Is Really Wonderful!

The title was originally a sentence I typed when I was IM-ing my friend, Satkuru. Yeah I know it sounds stupid and we both laughed at it. lol.

I wanted to put an ad with our earned fund on some sites, mainly for our upcoming 3-day sales this weekend – oh ya! I forgot to publish a post that I’ve written for this. -.-

OK background fact. We’ll be having our first 3-day sales mainly on our Etsy shop (and on this blog) from 12 midnight on Saturday to 11:59pm on Monday, 24-26 January 2009 (according to our local time GMT + 08:00), as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations! :) 15% off on all items (except already on SALE items), and 5% off on all already on SALE items.

So since this is the first time we are running a sales event – well we don’t normally run this – I wanted to utilise the fund that we’ve earned on Project Wonderful and create some ads for us to spread the word on the event. I created a square ad and logged into Project Wonderful, and started my search for the best and most affordable ad slot for us.

Searching… searching… searching…

Took me about 30 minutes to settle down with two of them, and just when I have confirmed everything and hit ‘Place Bid’, damn, PROXY ERROR message! @.@

I hit the ‘back’ button on my browser and went through all the process again, and PROXY ERROR, again! @.@

This happened for at least three times, and in between, I clicked on a Help link and sent an email to the customer service. By now you are probably wondering, how wonderful is Project Wonderful?

The wonderful part starts here. Within 10 minutes, I received a reply from the customer service rep. I was like, is this automated response? Nope. It turned out that the mail was from a real human. :)

And to cut it short (damn it I’ve wasted so much time trying to place an ad and it’s already 1:09am now), I’ve settled everything and have successfully purchased ad spot on 2 sites. More to purchase tomorrow! :)

And Here Goes The Couple-T.

Ah… finally…

It took us a while to complete it, mainly because there was a little problem with the stencil. Washed off everything and restarted, and finally, it went well. :)

Printed on both butter yellow and our signature white tee (photos of white tees will be uploaded soon… perhaps tomorrow).

So as you may expect, we name it ‘You Complete My Heart’. :)

As sizes and quantity of this couple-t are really limited (less than 10 sets available only!), we do not want to offer it on our blog, just to avoid confusion, in case we finished selling off on Etsy (which we will only be listing tomorrow morning). If you are interested, drop us a note or check out our Etsy shop tomorrow. :)

P/S: ‘You Complete My Heart’ couple-t is selling at USD$32 per set (excluding shipping).

Finally! Yeah! :)

Finally, my iMac came back last night! Yeah yeah! I can now do sooooooo many things! – gosh my life is so dependant on the Mac… >.<

I was told that there is still something not quite right with the hardware but hell I just need it back to work with in the meantime. I’ll need to monitor it and backup as often as I can so in case (touch wood!) anything happen, I can still have a copy of my work.

So just let me move back all my data and restore my computer first in the meantime. See you guys soon! ;)

Flying Eagle v.2.

We name this v.2 (version 2) because it doesn’t look quite the same with the one we initially made. We had to remake the mold because it was spoilt. But I believe this one will last much longer – since we are using the magical silicone putty. :)

Flying Eagle v.2, USD 15.00, shipping to Malaysia. [quickshop:Flying Eagle v.2 :price:15:shipping:1:shipping2:0.50:end]

Width: Approx 2 cm at widest point
Height: Approx 3.4 cm
Thickness: 0.7 cm at thickest point

Hand-casted with layers of resin, embedded with an original photo taken by us. Hand-sanded and polished to a matte and slightly frosted finish. Hangs on a sterling silver jump ring. Comes with a stainless steel ball chain necklace (ball diameter 2.0mm, length 50cm) as shown in the photos.

The surface is smoother than the first version, but there are still very tiny ‘holes’ and lines that are left for the natural and organic feel. As with all resin jewelry, there are tiny bubbles formed during the curing process. Slightly yellowish-tinted from the colour of the resin.

During the Day…

Of course, I sleep.

Until the human woke me up with the sound from her camera. !@#$%^&*().

What? You woke me up and I can’t play with my stone?

(Note: Xiao Bi loves playing with the pebbles in our garden. She chews and rolls over them. lol.)

Now my tail is itchy…

**********

I somehow started to notice that Xiao Bi was a little aggressive towards other dogs – except for her bf Bobby, and Honey. I used to think that she was just overly excited but a few days back, when darl helped a neighbour to ‘rescue’ their dog who fell into a river – actually just by the river – Xiao Bi acted really aggressive when she saw the dog coming up. A little scary, I’d say.

I told myself that we have to challenge her more. Yesterday evening during our walk, we walked pass 3 dogs, including one off-leash, and Winnie the Labrador whom she always got too excited to. I made it a point to tell myself to ‘JUST STAY FOCUS AND MOVE FORWARD’, and to correct her before she even started to look at them. The results? It worked like magic! She just walked straight with no problem. :)
