The title was originally a sentence I typed when I was IM-ing my friend, Satkuru. Yeah I know it sounds stupid and we both laughed at it. lol.
I wanted to put an ad with our earned fund on some sites, mainly for our upcoming 3-day sales this weekend – oh ya! I forgot to publish a post that I’ve written for this. -.-
OK background fact. We’ll be having our first 3-day sales mainly on our Etsy shop (and on this blog) from 12 midnight on Saturday to 11:59pm on Monday, 24-26 January 2009 (according to our local time GMT + 08:00), as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations! :) 15% off on all items (except already on SALE items), and 5% off on all already on SALE items.
So since this is the first time we are running a sales event – well we don’t normally run this – I wanted to utilise the fund that we’ve earned on Project Wonderful and create some ads for us to spread the word on the event. I created a square ad and logged into Project Wonderful, and started my search for the best and most affordable ad slot for us.
Searching… searching… searching…
Took me about 30 minutes to settle down with two of them, and just when I have confirmed everything and hit ‘Place Bid’, damn, PROXY ERROR message! @.@
I hit the ‘back’ button on my browser and went through all the process again, and PROXY ERROR, again! @.@
This happened for at least three times, and in between, I clicked on a Help link and sent an email to the customer service. By now you are probably wondering, how wonderful is Project Wonderful?
The wonderful part starts here. Within 10 minutes, I received a reply from the customer service rep. I was like, is this automated response? Nope. It turned out that the mail was from a real human. :)
And to cut it short (damn it I’ve wasted so much time trying to place an ad and it’s already 1:09am now), I’ve settled everything and have successfully purchased ad spot on 2 sites. More to purchase tomorrow! :)
