More Stuffs!

I was supposed to hold this on until I post all if them on Etsy and other places but I just can’t resist to write something! >.<

OK. First of all. A new necklace. Meant to drag my bf out for a walk. :P

And another ring.

And then finally, the new stuff that I’m extremely excited with!

A recycled/upcycled/repurposed (whatever you name it!) long purse/wallet from banner!

I have actually done a similar test unit a few years back, and am now still using it. That was solely done by hand (yeah hand-sewing, which was really painful! >.<). This, was sewn using sewing machine. I do improve, you see. :P

The ring and necklace are already showcased on etsy and other places, but not the long purse. Most like will up tonight or early tomorrow morning. I have been dreaming of having this in our product line and I finally did it! :D

The Bento.

I have to admit that I’m cooking more frequently lately. But of course almost all of my cookings are simple, easy, fast, no tedious washing and preparation dishes. >.<

As today darl need to be at work from noon until late evening, I’ve prepared something for him to bring along. Not really a Japanese Bento, but just a simple lunch, packed in those stainless steel container. :D

Steamed rice, of course.

And steamed chicken breast + carrot lightly marinated in light soy sauce, Shaoxing wine and garlic.

So the meal came with carbohydrate, protein, some vitamins and fiber. Total preparation time was just less than 30 minutes. And since I placed the stainless steel container straight into the steamer, I didn’t have to wash anything. ;)

Birthday Preparations.

Darl’s birthday is just exactly one week from now. With my current so-broke condition, I decided to cook something special for him. While it has to be special, but not too difficult – you know my standard. >.<

Up to date I have these in my list:

  1. Bloomin’ Brilliant Brownies – found out from Sasi, original recipe by Jamie Oliver.
  2. Pan Fried Lamb Chop – from mh, original recipe by mh’s hubby. :D
  3. Grilled Salmon – from mh, original recipe by mh’s hubby too. :D
  4. Mashed potato – also from mh! :D
  5. And then of course some vege, eg: broccoli, carrot, etc.

I might be changing the grilled salmon to darl’s favourite salmon + mustard. See how la

So here is my plan. The brownies will come in on Sunday. Pre-celebration ma. Ideally at 12 am so it can be his birthday cake too. :D The rest will come in on Monday evening, just right after he is back from work.

Hmm… probably should add in a light but yummy dessert. Something not too sweet. Hmm…

The Rehabilitation.

After watching several episodes of the Dog Whisperer, we have been practicing the idea and exercise on Xiao Bi for the past one week. Believe it or not, it has been working really, really, really well!

Today marked my first walk with Xiao Bi with no pulling and trying to fight attitude from her. It was a peaceful walk, with her walking and following by my side. I wasn’t able to take control two days ago and darl was the one who walked her. But I guess she had picked up the calm, submissive behavior and when I walked her today, she was just… so different with the Xiao Bi that I used to know! lol.

I felt so good after walking her this evening. She was calm, adorable… goodness! I still can’t believe that this is happening to my GR whom I thought will always be rebellious!

It’s not only the method of training that matters. It was about dog psychology. As soon as we understand the ‘why’, we’ll understand the ‘how’. It was that simple!

Our Supper.

Last night me and darl were just in the mood of eating very hungry, so although the dinner wasn’t very light, we were already planning on what to eat for supper just right after our dinner. He suggested to make use of the beef tenderloin that we bought about 2 weeks ago (frozen, of course), while I suggested to make our own dish with oyster mushroom. Ever since I tasted the very yummy oyster mushroom at Parkroyal Hotel, I just kept thinking about the taste. I was never a mushroom fan, but the freshness and the taste… it was just so right! >.<

So at about 9:30pm, we decided to prepare both the dishes to eat along with the movie that we were about to watch. Darl took care of the beef, as usual, and I took care of the oyster mushroom.

Stir fried beef with ginger and garlic in soy sauce. Yummy as usual. :)

Grey oyster mushroom with garlic oil and oyster sauce. I kinda overcooked the mushroom, hence it was a little bit too soft. :/

Good food, good movie, good companion. :D
