My East Coast Dream (I).

As mentioned, I was scheduled to meet darl during the weekend at the beautiful east coast. To make sure that everything turn out well and as expected, I called the airline company and double check on my check-in time a day before my flight. Yeah I know I tend to worry a lot but hell the last time I flew with them, it stated 30 minutes in the email I received but they told me I was late!

This time I was there 90 minutes before my scheduled flight. The staff at the check-in counter was very friendly this time (that fella I met last time was extremely rude and unhelpful!) and everything went smoothly for me up to this point. I got my boarding pass and went straight to Gate 14, got myself a good seat and waited happily for my turn to fly.

Just when everything seemed to be alright, a group of people walked out from Gate 14, and I heard one of the ladies talking on the phone:

“So bad ah? Aiyo… Yeah we were already on the plane but had to turn back…”

And another businessman telling his friend to pick him up at the ferry…

I looked at the screen. It seemed that the flight at 9 am to Langkawi was canceled.

I waited a while, until I figured that at this time, I should be going on the plane already. I walked to the crew at Gate 14, and was told that my flight got delayed due to bad weather. Until when ah? No idea. @.@

And although the screen kept showing ‘BOARDING… BOARDING…’ but I was told to follow the announcement on updates. Finally at 11:40 am, the lady announced that my flight will be rescheduled at 1 pm. Since flying to Kota Bharu will take approximately 55 minutes, I sms-ed darl and told him that I’ll take a quick bite here first.

I went to the food stall just right in front of Gate 14, surveying around and decided to settle on a sandwich and a bottle of mineral water… which costed me RM7.50! And the best part was, just right after I finished biting the sandwich and took out my notebook, thinking of doing some quick sketch, the announcement came and stated that my plane is ready to fly!!! ARRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Nothing much to talk about for the next 55 minutes of journey, except that the crews were all extremely friendly and polite, the plane still smelled like someone had spilled his perfume, and a 4 month old baby was crying while a big family with kids were travelling. Oh and as my seat was just right beside one of the propeller (correct me if I’m wrong), I somehow was imagining that it was going to fall off and crash the plane… and we all will end up on an island like what happened in Lost… lol OK me pressure. In fact I arrived safely about an hour later with darl waiting for me at the airport. :P

The rest of the day was used to accompany darl running some errands at home. Like test drive a car for his dad, check out his sister’s new place, pick up keys from the contractor, and fetching his nephews from school. Had a great dinner with bunches of satay, and went to bed very early to make sure I was ready for the next day! Stay tuned! :D

PhotoHunt: What IS That??

My PhotoHunt this week will be about my Golden Retriever, Xiao Bi again. So far, she has been the most rebellious GR (or even dog) that I’ve ever met. She never failed to leave us wondering what she has done.

When she was still a puppy, she did this…

Burying her favourite ball.

When she got a little older, she did this…

Can you guess what’s that? Yeah, a brinjal (or eggplant). She chewed off my dad’s plant and I thought what was that thing in purple…

And through out her puppy life (and even now at the age of one) she did this…

Yeap! Chewed off all her leashes. She is now using her 5th… or 6th I think. By the way, she chewed off a harness too!

And last but not least, she did this not long ago

Do you see anything except a bowl of sand? Look at the right side, there is a piece of ‘thing’ that doesn’t look like sand or stone, in yellow orche-kind of colour. This was her bowl of breakfast (bread and meat). Instead of eating them up, she ‘buried’ them. That was one of the pieces of bread…

I’ll be away over the weekend till next week, so I might be late in checking everyone out. Happy Hunting everyone! :)

The First Birthday Party!

Yesterday was our little princess a.k.a my little niece’s 1st birthday. Everyone was so excited about it – well, not her obviously. Apparently she didn’t know what happaned. lol.

Anyway. The preparation started one or two days before the real party. Mum and dad and sis-in-law were so busy preparing the food and so. Only a few family members who live nearby were invited though. More like a small family gathering. :D Mum also picked up my grandma from Butterworth the day before and had her staying at our place for 2 days to join in the fun. :D

All the food was homemade – yeah even the birthday cake! My parents used to make us birthday cakes when we were much younger so now they did it again for the next generation. lol.

The cake making session.

‘Loh Bak’ and sandwiches. Yummy…

The party was scheduled to start at 6pm. As a result, those who came early got tired and then…

SLEPT! LOL.

By 6pm, almost everyone was there, except for a few who were on their way. So we decided to start since dad needed to leave for his badminton session at 8pm – he never misses any!

Checkout the homemade piano-cake, with lots and lots of chocolate chips, Smarties, chocolate bar… YUMMY! And look at all the food! We had spaghetti, fried beehoon, chicken chop, sandwiches, red eggs, jelly, salad, ‘loh bak’, fries, fruits, vege… did I miss out any???

And the princess with all her presents. :D

Happy family, and cake-cutting ceremony.

Big happy family. :D

And then everyone started to eat. We ate for a good 2 hours – well at least I did. Too yummy. :D

When it was finally the present opening time, my little niece got attracted by this walking toy given by my aunt…

… while the rest of the adults got attracted by a nursery rhyme book given by Shu-Yin and Peter, and started their own singing and action session! lol.

Look at them. I’m sure they did enjoy themselves. Shu-Yin even said that she was singing with Min at the bookstore. Sounds a bit embarrassing… >.<

Random Photos in My Mobile Phone.

I’m pretty sure my cholesterol level will go HIGH UP if I continue to have these for supper…

‘Milky Prawn’, or I don’t really know how to name it in English. In Mandarin it’s 奶油虾 . Super yummy!

‘Deep Fried Crab with Salty Egg’, which I also don’t know the exact name. :P Yummy too but I got very tired trying to get the crab meat, and this is just one of the few pieces I had. @.@

My brother and sis-in-law got this for me for supper last night, just at the right moment when I was hungry and hoping that someone will get me something really YUMMY! :D

And then I wish I could sleep or laze around like this everyday…

:D DARL is still not around and I’m still hangng around working like mad :D

Me Free. :)

DARL is on his way back to his hometown now and I miss him already. Sob sob… But hey, I’m going to have a few days on my own, until I go on a flight to meet him on the weekend! :D

For those who didn’t know, he is a east-coast boy. Well although it’s not the kind of holiday that I was looking for (I have been having my so-called holiday there for many times… @.@) but haih, nvm la. Better than nothing.

I just need a fresh breath on beautiful and soft sand. So I hope he keep his promise this time to bring me to the resort along one of the beaches there!
