I have always been a fan of wind chime. When I was younger my house was much smaller and we didn’t have a good spot to hang a nicely singing wind chime, so I got desperate and bought one during a trip to Japan and hung it in my room. Of course, it never did sing. Too bad I don’t have a photo of that. :P
After moving to our current house, I am much older and I grew into quite particular with the sound a wind chime may produce. My boy-friend’s sister has a really HUGE metal and wood wind chime which they put in the house and the sound was much like the bell in a temple. The very deep, old ‘Tong…… Tong……’. To me, it was really relaxing to listen to it. :)
Some time last year I went to his hometown and bought this fish-shaped bamboo wind chime for my family. My parents hang it on the side of our main door and it does produce very tropical, holiday-like music when the wind blows.
I have recently asked my brother to get me a capiz shell wind chime from Pulau Redang, but have yet to identify a suitable spot for it. It does, sing very nicely, but just too fragile to be hung at spots with strong wind.
I’m really curious on what everyone is hanging this week. :) Happy Hunting everyone!

Nice photo!
I also love that sound.
Happy weekend.
Nice looking wind chime. I like the sounds of wind chimes, but too chicken to actually buy one and hang in my house..heehee…
Great take on the theme. I love wind chimes too. Those are beautiful.
I love wind chimes and bought quite a number. The ones I bought from the Philippines sound so melodious!
I have lots of that at home too. Unfortunately some came down when the wind was too strong. Somehow I felt more relax by the chimes it created :)
