Although I Work From Home…

Many people commented that they envy the fact that I actually work from home most of the time. While it’s true that I do have the privilege of not wearing office attires and stuck in the traffic most of the time, there are plenty of drawbacks, which, none of them understand.

First thing first. Working from home means I do not have colleagues around me most of the time. It also means that I will always find myself alone, with no ‘peer support’ when I am facing a problem. This also means that I have no one to share if I’ve done a good work. It may not sound very important from the sentence but in fact, emotional support plays an important role in one’s work life.

Second. Working from home means I have to resist going to bed or watching TV programmes or hooking up with chatting for too long. LOL. It’s more to a personal management and discipline that one has to stick to. I’ve seen people who claimed that their discipline is good but yet all they did when they work from home was gaming, gaming, and gaming. LOL

Third. It also means a lot of destructions from home. My mum might ask me to do something when I am in the middle of working on a project. My aunt might come visiting and chit-chatting for hours. But I’m glad my parents are pretty good with giving me space and time to do my own work nowadays. :)

Fourth. My income may not be consistent. I may probably be earning enough to keep myself moving for a month, and earn more another month. I can’t expect the same figure crediting into my bank account every month. :)

And the list goes on – and I’m too lazy to list them out. :)

I always believe that one is responsible for one’s own life. I’ve made my choice of earning less (and not stable) but having the opportunity to work for myself and my time. All I wanted to say is, if you DO envy that I work from home, quit your job and stop sighing. :D

PhotoHunt: Share ANY Photo.

I thought it should be rather easy for me to share any photo but when I had my hands on it, I was having problem choosing the photos that I wanted to share. lol.

Certainly I would like to share photos that I like the most. So although these photos have been seen by many people, allow me to post again. :D

These were taken during a beach outing with my GR, Xiao Bi, some time in February this year. These are a few of my favourites.

And then finally this is my favourite of all! :D

More photos can be seen at the link above to My Dog Diary. Or you can check out my Flickr.

I have been sick for several days hence might be slow in checking everyone out. Nevertheless, Happy Hunting everyone! :)

Another Commissioned-T and More Magnets!

We’ve got another commissioned-T worked out – well this wasn’t exactly a business, simply because it was ‘commissioned’ by my family! lol

Anyway, since it’s from our family, guess who would be the best model? My niece a.k.a the princess, of course. ;)

My aunt ordered this piece and she’ll be here to collect anytime this week. That’s our little angel on the t-shirt. :)

On the side note, continuing from yesterday’s post, we have two new sets of magnets lining up. All from recycled bottle cap – yaya the one from the beer bottle that you are drinking. :D

Bottle Cap Magnet #1 – Camouflage

Bottle Cap Magnet #2 – Blue Abstract

All bottle caps are cleaned and sealed with sealant before hand-crafted by local artist. The 15mm magnet is carefully embedded into each piece hence you won’t be able to see it from the outside. But nevertheless, this Ultra Strong Magnet (similar to rare earth magnet)t lets you hold up to 5 pieces of A4 paper at once.

Oh Well…

I suddenly remember I mentioned about this ‘major changes in one’s life once every seven years’ cycle thingy in one of my posts sometime in March. I am, somehow, starting to believe that this is probably what I am undergoing now.

I am not sure why and I am not sure how. Things change. People change. You know, it’s just more like the fact that there is no happily ever after. No fairy tales. This is life. It just won’t be as smooth as you want it to be.

Anyway…

I guess I just needed someone to talk to. Someone that I am comfy to talk to. Someone who can tell me things are going to be alright – when everything is just so not-alright.

My Pathetic Blogging Life… Again!

During the past few weeks, I have noticed some funny thing with my WP widgets. Whenever I tried to update or add a text widget, the content in another one or two text widgets will be gone after I click ‘Save’. No joking, it was really happening.

At first I thought I was too blur and it was me who accidentally deleted the contents. But after a few times, I started to realise that it was a problem with WP.

I was too busy with my business thingy and I didn’t really bother to surf around and see if other bloggers were facing this issue or not. Not until today, when I was trying to add a text widget for my blogroll, the content in the text widget for my Feedburner went gone. So I had to dig into Feedburner and got the code, and after updating, the content in the text widget for my Flickr Badge went gone. @.@ So I went to dig out the code for my Flickr Badge, and after updating, my Feedburner went gone again! @.@ The whole cycle kept repeating for at least 7 times, until everything finally went to their places. @.@

The same thing happened to My Dog Diary. I was about to kill myself at that time. What the H, I thought. And then I finally remembered there was an update for WP. So I updated. Now I am still updating for My Dog Diary, but this blog seems to be working fine now – at least the widgets didn’t run wild again!

Oh and btw, I’ve added this new blogroll thingy. It’s supposed to show an *Updated!* phrase beside those links which just got updated. I am not sure if it’s going to work yet since no one in my list has updated his/her blog. lol. We’ll see. :)
