I have been craving for a bowl of laksa since 2-3 days back. The last time I had laksa was actually last Saturday, which was only a few days back. @.@ OK I know I sound like a pregnant lady but I am not. I know that when the weather is hot and I am lack of appetite I always like to have a bowl of laksa.
Now that I work primarily from home, I seldom go out. Two days back when I was out with DARL to meet one of his friends for some business matter, we did try to pack laksa on our way back but all other food was available except for laksa. Yesterday afternoon after settling some stuffs in the office I purposely turned to my favourite laksa stall but everything sold out. I took a turn to the stall I had laksa last Saturday but the whole hawker centre was closed! GOSH what happened!!! @.@
UPDATES at 7 PM: I finally had my favourite laksa. I ordered one without the noodle. There was a long queue waiting for my dish but I am so satisfied now… :D
If you ever drive from Pulau Tikus to Tanjung Bungah using Mount Erskine Road, you may want to pay some attention on one of the houses along the road on your right, just right before the traffic light to Hong Seng Estate.
I was driving home this evening and I saw a sign board hanging on the gate of one of the house: Beware of Dogs. As the traffic stopped at that time, naturally I was looking for the dog in the compound. And that’s when I realised, there was a dog on top of the car, or more specifically, on the roof top of the car parked in the compound!
At first glance I thought it was a statue. I thought why la people put a statue on top of the car. Suddenly it moved! I tried to grab my phone camera but the traffic was already moving at that time. I turned over and saw the dog standing up, shaking his body, and I think he was going to walk down from the car – which I am not sure how! FYI it’s a normal family car, like an old Honda or something.
The size of the dog was something like Xiao Bi – OK la a bit thinner than Xiao Bi. That’s the first time in my life I hope the traffic light actually stayed red longer!!! @.@
A horrible incident happened in my neighbourhood just a few hours ago.
I was carrying my little niece to the door to welcome my brother (her daddy) who just came back at that time. My brother who was on his motorcycle came in and shut the auto-gate. That was when I saw two fella (I wasn’t very sure if it was two guys, or a guy and a lady at that time) wearing dark clothes stopping their motorcycle just right in front of my house, at the side of the gate. I was staring at them, wondering who they were. They stopped for only about a few seconds and left.
In less than 30 seconds, we heard a lady screaming. I thought it was the motorcyclists. I thought there was an accident. My brother looked out and this time, the lady shouted:
“They took my things!”
Only then we realised they were snatch thieves! My brother ran to the gate but they went off even faster. I think I heard one of them saying ‘bye‘ to my brother. I saw one of the family members of the lady running out of the house trying to chase them. I saw the lady went into her car again and chase them. But they were long gone. All I could recall now is that it was two men, wearing dark clothes, with dark skin tone, on a dark-coloured (or black) motorcycle.
I can’t believe that this is happening in our quiet and safe neighbourhood. I am actually starting to consider getting one of those pepper spray thingy and hang it around my neck so that I can have easy access to it. I am also thinking about keeping some heavy tools like a tongkat or some hardware tools in the car, in my room, and in each and every corner of the house so that we can easily grab something and hit that devil who decides to attack us one day. Yeah I know I sound violent but I don’t pity those who decide to turn evil.
Has anyone tried the pepper spray thingy before? Or if you have any good idea on self protection, please let me know.
My dad went to K.L for a business trip yesterday. Everyone was extraordinarily looking forward for him to come back (except me) at night because all of them have asked him to grab something back from IKEA. @.@ Me on the other hand, was in the ‘except’ list, because he called back in the afternoon and told me that the only chest of drawer that I wanted was OUT OF STOCK!!! !@#$%^&*().
Anyway, he came back safely together with half a dozen of donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts, and claimed that he bought it because he was hungry. While we continued helping him to carry out the stuffs from his car, he remembered that his client gave him a nicely-packed present during his meeting, which he didn’t bother to open up until then. He opened it up and OMG there were 4 tasty looking choco muffins with a pack of equally yummy looking cookies!

I am normally not a chocolate killer (means a person that kills for chocolate) but with this oh-so-yummy chocolate muffin, I really don’t mind to kill. :D The chocolate tasted so RICH, so CREAMY, not too sweet… it’s just nice!
Dad regretted that he didn’t open up the box earlier (so he won’t have to buy the donuts then), but we were glad that he didn’t, so we could have 8 choco muffins (yeah 8 because there were 2 boxes!) to share! And I have to say, it’s not enough!!!
Note: Since it’s not enough, I’ve asked my dad to check with his client on where to grab this yummy-heaven-made muffins. :D Yummy yummy!
Almost 9 out of 10 people who met Xiao Bi would ask the same question:
“Does she bite?”
Well blame her size. Golden Retrievers are well-known for their friendly nature. Yet she is so big that people would ask this question during their first encounter. But then again, I have to say that, probably it’s also because of her aggressive and easily excited character… :/
An incident happened about two weeks back when a newly-born bird flew into Xiao Bi’s garden territory. I saw it from my room and I was so worried that she is going to kill the poor little fella who had just started her flying lesson. I rushed down and I saw her barking at the poor fella while pushing it. I quickly grabbed her away.
For one moment I really didn’t know what to do. I finally tied her up and went checking the poor fella. To my surprise, Xiao Bi wasn’t struggling much. The poor fella was just sitting on the floor, trying to fly but couldn’t. No blood, so I guess no injuries. I walked to Xiao Bi, thinking of calming her down. When I turned back, the poor fella was gone – or should I say the lucky fella. Apparently Xiao Bi wasn’t biting at her. She was just trying to play with her. :P
So, here goes my answer.
“My Dog Doesn’t Bite.”

Note: Price and details of this exclusively designed door mat will be up soon on our website. Website will be up… soon. Blame DARL. He keep telling me very soon. -.-
