The Night We Had Our Reunion Dinner.

So it’s time for reunion dinner again. Like others, we had ours on the Chinese New Year eve, which falls on 6 February this year.

The reunion dinner for our family is being held at my grandma’s place in Butterworth. Grandma, as in my DAD’s Mum. Normally on this day, DAD and MUM will go over earlier to help out with the preparations, while me and my brother will join in later in the afternoon.

Same thing happened this year. We left the house at around 17:00 after my brother closed his shop. I happily grabbed along my Nikon D40x, thinking that since we would be taking the ferry, I could snap a few photos and do a few experiments.

Queuing up at the ferry terminal. The queue looked pretty long but it didn’t take very long for our turn. I think they are getting more and more efficient. :D

One of the random shots along the roadside.

I was happily snapping and deleting the photos that I totally wasn’t aware that the battery was FLAT! Yeah FLAT!!! What the H!!! -.- This totally ruined my mood for the evening. I was hoping to have some nice nice photos of the food ma… Sigh… @.@ So from now onwards, what you see were all taken by my Nokia 2630. As mentioned, it’s not a high-end gadget. So no high quality photos lar… :(

Best Food from Nature.

I believe all of us know the benefits of breast milk. For human, breast milk is always the first choice for babies.

Well same thing applies to dogs. That’s one of the reasons that puppies should be kept with the mother for the first few weeks – generally a good breeder would recommend around six weeks – for the puppies to get sufficient nutrients from the mother’s milk.

When Gobi came, she got sufficient milk from the mother, as I still remember the breeder told me to leave her there for another week cause the mother has plenty of milk. However, when Xiao Bi came, she told me that the mother was a bit reluctant to feed that batch of puppies (which include Xiao Bi), probably they were teething earlier. So I have been under the impression that Xiao Bi didn’t get as much milk from the mother as Gobi.

Recently though, I have found for her a source for this best food from nature. Well I was a bit reluctant at first, but someone in the family fed her behind me for a couple of weeks until they finally revealed one day! @.@

Xiao Bi likes it very much. It’s like her must-have tea time treat. Before this, it has always been difficult for me to drag her into her garden territory after her afternoon break in the garden. But with this, she never fail to voluntarily enter the garden. All I need to do is to show her the bowl and she is all set to go in.

Now I only need to hope that I can always have sufficient supply until Xiao Bi is tame enough to follow instructions. She is actually sharing the breast milk with my little niece! :D
