PhotoHunt: Old-Fashioned.

OK another difficult theme for me. I am not sure if this is only me or the theme really gets more and more difficult. :/

I didn’t have much time over the week to snap something so again, I have to dig something out of my photo library. This is the only picture in my library that I can relate to ‘old-fashioned’.

I took this slightly less than 2 years ago when I was on a trip to Kelantan, my boy-friend’s hometown. He was not my boy-friend yet back then. He took me and my 2 other friends to some of the local buddhist temples over there. This was taken in one of those. I am not sure why but they had a small high-rise room/house/unit near the entrance. This was the door of that unit itself.

I’ll check everyone out once I have time tomorrow. Also, drop by My Dog Diary for another PhotoHunt post if you have time.

Happy Hunting! :)

Old-Fashioned.

P/S: Check out my trading game if you are interested! :)

Trading Game.

I once read about a ‘trading game’ (OK I don’t know how to name it) started by someone in somewhere (OK I don’t know who that fella is, I only know it’s a HE). He started by posting a clip online and trade it with strangers all around the world. After a number of trades, he got himself a house – or something else, I can’t remember very well. :D

Anyway, to spice up my life, I thought maybe I should play this game too. So I have a seashell here. Anyone out there would like to trade with me for a new pencil? :)

Trading1.

I Quit.

Yesterday at work place, I quited one of the job tasks that I have been given for over 2 years.

I was pretty sure on what I wanted. After all these while of waiting and trusting, I don’t find myself with the ‘flame’ on this job task anymore.

When I was asked by my superior on the reasons I wanted to leave, I gave a whole ‘lecture’ on it.

I know myself very well that I am not that bargain-type of employee. I don’t stay because I ask for it and you revise my pay. I always believe that employees should be appreciated. There is no need for me to reveal the whole conversation but I guess I have said what I wanted to say. Too many good colleagues told me their side of stories and I hope my ‘lecture’ will help them in some way too.

I do feel sorry to my bosses who assigned me with the task back then though. It’s just that too many things changed along the way and I guess I am not suitable for this anymore.

Phiak! Phiak!

Not long ago when I was writing about the inefficient creature at work, my friend, Charles left a comment regarding me slapping him twice in a day. A few friends were kinda curious after reading it. This was actually what happened on that day.

It was some time before Christmas in year 2005. I was requested by the company to get some decor items for Christmas. Not knowing where to go, I dragged along Charles, who was still my colleague back then, to shop with me. We then decided to shop at Prangin Mall. Sometimes they have really cheap stuffs.

It took us a few hours shopping there. When we were done and ready to go, he said something stupid in the car and I raised my hand making action as if I wanted to slap him. OK my experiences with this ‘hand-raising’ movement has been positive. People who had seen this movement from me (eg: my ex-house-mates in K.L, my younger brother) would reasonably and definitely ‘move’ away as my palm goes near their faces. But not for Charles. Either he was too tired or he was dreaming, he didn’t avoid and ‘Phiak!’. There goes the first slap.

The incident happened in the car park of Prangin Mall. I was laughing and laughing and laughing at the poor fella while he was complaining and complaining and complaining, and at the same time, driving out of the car park. When the car was somewhere in Penang Road, I associated a practical joke that I once liked to play with my cousins. I asked him:

‘Eh, do you know that people said if your palm is bigger than your face, the chances of you getting cancer is higher?’

The poor fella surely wasn’t aware that it was a practical joke. Despite the fact that he was driving, he put his palm on his face, and ‘Phiak!’, I pushed his palm towards his face and slapped him again! :D

So there goes the second slap, and I was lucky that I could still stay alive after the incident. :D

Shake Hand, Woof Woof! :)

I have been teaching Xiao Bi to understand ‘shake hand’ for a few weeks, using clicker. Well not exactly a few weeks, I wasn’t consistent enough to do it everyday due to my uncertain working schedule.

This afternoon when I was training her with the clicker again, she seemed to be calmer than usual. Then I thought, maybe I shouldn’t always show her how to raise her hand by helping her to raise it. Maybe I should just say ‘hand’ and touch it. So I tried and it worked! :D

And the best part is, she now recognise clicker as a sign of reinforcement on her good attitude. Every time she hears the ‘click’ she gets her favourite treats. That will make my life training her so much easier.

Having said that, she is now barking at nonsense again. She just likes to bark at anything. Birds, cats, passerby, you name it. -.-
