And I’ve Got Myself… A Pair of Levi’s Again.

Those who know me well will know that I need to buy a pair of Levi’s jeans every year. I have been doing this for a few years, only for a reason: Levi’s has a size 24 with the exact cutting that can fit me well. :/

Me and DARL went shopping on Christmas day, and somehow he reminded me that it’s almost time for me to get a pair of jeans. So I went to the store, tried a few, just to find out that the one and only cutting I like had only size 25 as the last pair. I went in twice and the first time was served by a nerdy staff – can’t help but he was really nerdy. No response on whatever you were saying.

The second time I went in, a whole bunch of staff were ‘partying’ beside the counter. They simply chit-chatted and laughed really loud, regardless of the number of customers in the store. I went out from the fitting room with another pair of jeans that didn’t fit me well, and tried to figure out where to put it. No one even bothered to look at me. I ended up calling one of them who happened to walk by and passed the jeans to him.

Yesterday I went to another Levi’s store in another shopping mall. The sales girl was kind enough to explain to me on the cuttings and materials. I told her that I’d be back in a while as I wanted to ask DARL to give me some opinion before buying. We went back about 2 hours later, and hoo-hoo, the staffs were partying again. This time, I could see that they were exchanging presents and everyone gathered around the cashier counter excitedly. And certainly, no one attended me as well.

DARL convinced me to grab that pair of jeans that I was trying and we walked to the cashier. We stood there for a minute and no one noticed until I said:

“Can I pay now?”

A guy quickly apologise and took over the pair of jeans from me. After settling the bill – or rather while settling the bill, he was also busy laughing and chit-chatting with the rest who were so busy opening the mysterious presents from among themselves. He handed me a paper bag with the pair of jeans, whereby I looked inside just to realise that he even forgotten to take out the big security tag normally attached to merchandises in shops.

Conclusion: Working in a Levi’s store is fun. You get to party around the cashier counter, even when there are plenty of customers in the store.

And here is my pair of ¾ quarter jeans – or whatever you call it.

P/S: I am extremely sleepy and tired at this hour. But I wanted to finish this post. So do bear with me if there are countless grammar mistakes or sentences or words that don’t make sense. :D

My Dark Eye Circles and Eye Bags.

There is a dog living behind my house, or maybe two of them. I have never seen them before until lately, like 2-3 months ago, when one of them have somehow developed a weird hobby – barking non-stop for hours when people are sleeping.

For instance, two nights ago I came back at around 10:45 p.m. after having a late dinner with my family. The long-winded dog was already barking. I thought it’s a good idea for him/her to bark now, so he/she would keep quiet later. But the truth is, the barking didn’t stop until at least 2 a.m. The reason of barking remains unknown. I’ve only heard the owner gently asked the dog to ‘shut up’ before 12 a.m.

This morning around 6 a.m., the long-winded dog decided to carry on with his/her hobby again. He/She continuously barked until around 9 a.m.. The owner came out and said ‘bye bye good dog’ at around 8:45 a.m., leaving the dog barking, barking, and barking.

He/She doesn’t like to bark when people are awake. He/She only barks during the hours when people are sleeping. This explains why I have dark eye circles and eye bags.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I never really celebrate Christmas. I never really like the idea of making a warmth celebration commercialised too. Then again, I somehow have received plenty of greetings, either in the form of SMS, email, or just through blog hoping.

DARL is working tonight and tomorrow morning, so no celebration too. :)

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all who are reading, and Happy New Year! :)

Life and Love with the World’s Worst Dog.

I am planning to get myself a book: Marley and Me

The tag line reads Life and love with the world’s worst dog

Marley and Me.

I first knew about this book somewhere in a newspaper or something. The book cover attracted my attention immediately with the cute little puppy and the tag line – because me too, having a world’s worst dog at home. :/

Part of the descriptions about this book reads:

“Marley quickly grew into a barreling, 97-pound steamroller of a Labrador Retriever, a dog like no other. He crashed through screen doors, gouged into drywall, flung drool on guests, stole women’s undergarments, and ate nearly everything he could get his mouth around, including couches and fine jewelry. Obedience expelled his first time through.”

“And yet, his heart was pure. Just as Marley joyfully refused any limits on his behavior, his love and loyalty were boundless, too. He shared the couple’s joy at first pregnancy, and their heartbreak over miscarriage. He was there when babies finally arrived and when the screams of a 17-year-old stabbing victim pierced the night. Marley played a role in shutting down a public beach and managed to land a role in a feature-length movie (though it went straight to video), always winning hearts as he made a mess of things. Through it all, he remained steadfast, a model of devotion, even when his family was at wits’ end. Unconditional love, they would learn, comes in many forms.”

Xiao Bi has been the most rebellious dog I’ve ever met so far. Up to date, she has chewed off at least three leashes that we have bought for her. She prison break-ed from her garden territory for nearly ten times. Yesterday itself, she chewed off the green fencing we had around her newly renovated garden territory and ran out again (I’ll blog about the endless disasters over the weekend once DARL fixes my other blog). While Golden Retrievers were supposed to be friendly, calm, and ready to please their masters owners, Xiao Bi is more willing to please herself at any time. Nothing would stop her from getting what she wants, including the strong leash and the fence.

Yet, I believe there is something in her that’s precious. Just like Marley in the book – being a Labrador Retriever and the world’s worst dog.

PhotoHunt: Light.

I am very early tonight. One is because I actually have nothing to do now, another is that I am extremely tired and planning to go to the bed soon. :)

I was wondering should I go for:

Light = not heavy.

or

Light = the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible.

:D

I browsed through my photo library and I found these few photos that I would like to share.

Xiao Bi with Red Eye.

Since I am stopping my other blog about my monkeys aka dogs temporarily, I have decided to share this photo of Xiao Bi here. It was taken one night from my room on the first floor. The quality of the photo is bad. I can’t remember very well, but I guess I must be using my DARL’s mobile phone camera at that time. Notice the red eye. :D

In Redang.

These two photos, one the other hand, was taken during my trip to Pulau Redang slightly less than two years back. It was taken by my DARL, who wasn’t my DARL yet at that time. :) I am not sure how he did it, but I guess it was because he wasn’t using flash, and I was swinging myself. :)

In Redang 2.

The one inside the photos is me. :)

Happy Hunting! :)
